This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used, disclosed and protected when you visit vallepark.com (the “Website”), contact Vallé, request information or make a booking. Vallé Advenature Park (“Vallé”, “we”, “us” or “our”) acts as the controller of personal data processed for these purposes, unless another organisation is identified as the controller for a particular service.
We may collect identification and contact data, such as your name, email address, telephone number, country or residence status and preferred contact method; booking and participation data, such as selected activities, dates, participant numbers, ages or categories, requirements, booking references and communications; transaction data, such as payment status, amount, currency and limited payment metadata supplied by the payment provider; and enquiry, feedback, complaint or customer-service records.
When necessary for an activity, safety or accessibility request, we may receive information about a participant’s health, mobility or other relevant needs. Such information will be requested and used only where necessary and with an appropriate legal basis. Please do not provide unnecessary sensitive information through a general contact form.
When you use the Website, technical and usage data may be collected automatically, including IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referring source, date and time, cookie identifiers and interaction or conversion data. The Website currently uses Google Tag Manager and may use analytics, advertising and security technologies as described below. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
We collect data directly from you when you complete a form, make a booking, contact us, subscribe to communications, participate in an activity or communicate with staff. We may also receive data from a person making a group booking, travel or booking partners, payment providers, analytics and advertising providers, or other service providers involved in completing your request.
We use personal data to answer enquiries; create and administer bookings; process or verify payments; confirm eligibility and resident rates; deliver activities and customer service; communicate operational or safety information; manage changes, incidents, complaints and legal claims; maintain Website security; prevent fraud or misuse; analyse Website and campaign performance; improve services; comply with legal, accounting and regulatory duties; and send marketing where consent has been provided or another lawful basis applies.
Depending on the purpose, we process personal data because it is necessary to take steps at your request or perform a contract; comply with a legal obligation; protect vital interests; pursue legitimate interests such as service improvement, security, fraud prevention and customer support, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; or because you have given consent. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out lawfully.
The Website may use strictly necessary cookies to operate forms, carts, bookings, security and user preferences. With consent where required, it may also use analytics and advertising cookies or similar technologies to understand Website usage, measure conversions and improve campaigns. Google Tag Manager is used to deploy and manage certain tags; Google Analytics and advertising services may receive technical and usage data where enabled.
The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, and Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to that service. You can manage non-essential cookies through the Website’s consent controls where available and through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect Website functions.
Where permitted, Vallé may use your contact details to send news, offers or service updates. You may opt out at any time by using an unsubscribe link where provided or contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not prevent essential booking, safety, transactional or customer-service messages.
We may share personal data with authorised Vallé staff; website, hosting, booking, payment, email, analytics, advertising, IT, security and customer-support providers; professional advisers, insurers and auditors; travel or booking partners involved in your reservation; and public authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by law. Providers acting on our behalf may use the data only for authorised purposes and must apply appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal data. If the business or relevant assets are reorganised, transferred or acquired, personal data may be disclosed as part of that transaction subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards
Some service providers may process data outside Mauritius. Where personal data is transferred internationally, Vallé will take reasonable steps to ensure an adequate level of protection or another lawful transfer mechanism in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2017.
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including delivery of services, safety and incident management, customer support, accounting, tax, audit, fraud prevention and legal claims. Retention periods are determined by the type of record, the nature of the relationship, operational needs and applicable legal limitation or recordkeeping requirements. Data that is no longer required will be deleted, anonymised or securely restricted.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so users should also protect their devices, passwords and booking information.
The Website and park activities may be used by families, but bookings and online submissions should be made by an adult or with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. Where consent is the legal basis for an online service offered directly to a child under 16, parental or guardian authorisation may be required. We limit children’s data to what is reasonably necessary for booking, eligibility, safety and service delivery.
Subject to the Data Protection Act 2017 and any lawful limitations, you may request access to your personal data and information about its processing; correction of inaccurate or incomplete data; erasure; restriction of processing; objection to processing, including direct marketing; data portability where applicable; and withdrawal of consent. You may also request information about the recipients, retention period and source of your data.
To exercise a right, contact sales@vallepark.com. We may request reasonable information to verify identity and authority before acting. You may lodge a complaint with the Mauritius Data Protection Office at dpo@govmu.org if you believe your data-protection rights have not been respected.
The Website may link to or embed third-party websites and services. Those providers operate under their own privacy notices, and Vallé is not responsible for their independent processing practices. You should review the relevant notice before providing personal data to a third party.
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology or our practices. The effective date above will be revised when an updated version is published. Material changes may also be communicated through the Website or another appropriate channel.
